1. Scope of Services

SP Marine provides mobile boat maintenance and repair services (“Services”) in the Uusimaa region. All Services are performed on-site at the Customer’s location unless otherwise agreed.

2. Pricing

Our pricing is based on time spent and travel required to the service location:

    • Hourly rate: €95 per hour
    • Call-out (on-site service) fees based on service area:
      • Area A (€75): Helsinki metropolitan area and Sipoo (including Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi, Sipoo)
      • Area B (€150): Central and Eastern Uusimaa (including e.g. Järvenpää, Kerava, Tuusula, Nurmijärvi, Hyvinkää, Porvoo, Vihti, Siuntio, Inkoo)
      • Area C (€200): Western and outermost municipalities (including e.g. Lohja, Karkkila, Raasepori, Hanko, Mäntsälä, Askola, Pukkila, Myrskylä, Lapinjärvi, Loviisa)

The applicable call-out fee is added to the total service cost.
A minimum charge equivalent to one (1) hour of work may be applied.

SP Marine reserves the right to determine the applicable service area based on the service location.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the Services unless otherwise agreed.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments in accordance with applicable Finnish law, as well as reasonable collection costs.

4. Booking, Cancellation and No-Show

Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to the agreed service time.

  • Late cancellations may be subject to a fee
  • If the Customer is not present or the vessel is not accessible at the agreed time, the full call-out fee will be charged

5. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • Ensure safe and unobstructed access to the vessel
  • Provide accurate and complete information regarding the vessel and required work
  • Ensure that the working environment is safe

SP Marine reserves the right to refuse or suspend Services if conditions are unsafe.

6. Performance and Acceptance of Services

The Services shall be deemed accepted upon completion.
The Customer must inspect the work without undue delay and report any issues promptly.

7. Defects and Complaints

Any complaints must be submitted without delay after the service has been completed.

SP Marine will assess and, where appropriate, remedy any verified defects within a reasonable time.

8. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Consumers have the right to withdraw from a service contract within 14 days.

However:

  • If the Customer requests the Services to begin during the withdrawal period and
  • The Services are fully performed

➡️ The right of withdrawal is lost.

If partially performed, SP Marine may charge for the portion completed.

9. No Returns

As SP Marine provides services and not physical goods, returns and exchanges are not applicable.

10. Weather and Force Majeure

SP Marine reserves the right to reschedule or cancel Services due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control.

11. Limitation of Liability

SP Marine performs all Services with reasonable care and professional skill.

However:

  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects or issues not reasonably detectable
  • We are not liable for damage caused by incorrect use, neglect, or third parties
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages

12. Warranty (if applicable)

Any warranty provided applies only to the specific work performed and does not cover unrelated components or future wear and tear.

13. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland.

Consumers may refer disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).

15. Changes to Terms

SP Marine reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
